2018 Houzz Decorating Winners!
Ta Da! Scooped the Best of Houzz 2018 Client Satisfaction prize.
Houzz (in case you didn’t know), allows people and suppliers to find and refer great suppliers and tradesmen. (and shop for fancy products!! )For me, Houzz is the first place for design inspiration, – our interior designer contacts look at Houzz for trends and ideas too.
We are so proud to have been recognised by Houzz, but more importantly by our customers. We take customer service extremely seriously and we’re
overwhelmed that all our hard work has paid off.
We’ve worked on every type of home, including traditional Victorian decorating schemes, luxury
apartments, and country home decorating, but always go above and beyond to deliver the best quality
workmanship possible. It doesn’t matter what sort of project it is, each and every one of our clients gets
the same amount of dedicated time and attention.
Marcus Hartwall, Managing Director of Houzz UK and Ireland, said: “We’re so pleased to award Best of
Houzz 2018 to this incredible group of talented and customer-focused professionals, including
Harborough Decorators.
“Each of these businesses was singled out for recognition by our community of homeowners and design
enthusiasts for helping to turn their home improvement dreams into reality.”
Let’s Decorate
If you are hankering for a new look – it makes sense to get an expert in. Especially if you have had building work done too! Unless you are like my Dad and his collection of Practical Householder magazines, keen to get sanding, smoothing, filling (then rinse and repeat) before getting the vacuum out again and gingerly unravelling. The wallcovering that is. Specialist skills are required – and if you want the best results you definitely need a craftsman decorator , (time served, skilled and with muscles!!) to get the smooth all over paint finish or hang that FAB new wallpaper & transform your lounge! (or other family room of your choice!)
We will help you measure the quantity required. We will confirm a convenient date with you, supply our decorator to sheet up, protect all surfaces , prepare & paint the surfaces then apply the wallpaper for you. – as always, we will leave a clean & tidy room, taking the waste away for recycling, leaving you with sensational results!!
The best wallcovering project a craftsman decorating team could wish for
Recently I spent time with Allyson McDermott, and had the privilege of seeing how a fine wallcovering was created in her studios prior to Harborough Decorators team hanging it in a very special location.
Using gold leaf, distemper and traditional flock, the results are truly outstanding, and will last for many many years. The room will inspire many who travel through or sit quietly and we are proud to have been associated with this historic space. A couple of pictures wont do the room justice. The light travels over the surface and is just amazing. There weren’t any offcuts – each drop was made to measure, each drop numbered to correspond to the plan as it went around the room. Made all the team feel very proud when it was finished!
Award Winning Decorating
Award winning Results!
Easton Neston House, has won a RIBA award- and the quality of conservation work has been recognised. A major restoration project, we know that it takes more than just a skilled painter and decorator to be chosen to work in one of the finest country houses in England!
Our team has enjoyed bringing the home and European Headquarters to Leon Max to a magnificent standard, and was pleased to see it recently featured on television. With clear instruction from Ptolemey Dean Architects and inspired interior design, the rooms are a combination of refined elegance and Wow!
Heritage qualified, directed by Mac Devereux, the Team certainly understand the usual decorating history of construction of a traditional Listed Building and enjoy using both modern and traditional materials including limewash or gilding. At Easton Neston House, Towcester, it was a massive project! We had plenty of opportunity to appreciate and share extensive knowledge amongst a strong team of historic and heritage craftsmen.
